Alan Davies
Chief Executive Officer and Director

Alan has extensive experience in running and leading mining businesses, most notably Rio Tinto as Chief Executive, Energy & Minerals in 2016 and Chief Executive, Diamonds & Minerals from 2012 to 2016. Alan has held management positions in Australia, London and the United States for Rio Tinto's Iron Ore and Energy businesses and has run and managed operations in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and North and South America. He was also previously chief financial officer of Rio Tinto's iron ore business. Alan was a non-executive director of Rolls Royce Holdings plc, the British aerospace engineering leader and is currently a non-executive director of Ioneer Limited, an emerging lithium-boron producer. Alan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and has degrees in law and business.

Alan became the Chief Executive Officer of Moxico and joined its board of directors in March 2017.

Kelvinder Singh
Chief Financial Officer

Kelvinder has over 15 years of global experience in the metals and mining industry, spanning investment banking, strategic advisory, and technical operations.

Prior to joining Moxico, Kelvinder was a Director at Société Générale in London, where he led the bank’s expansion into the Middle East and was a senior member of its global metals and mining business. Earlier in his career, he worked in Hong Kong and Singapore, specialising in structured finance and capital advisory across Asia-Pacific. His experience also includes technical industry experience with Rio Tinto.

Kelvinder holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in Applied Geology and Finance, as well as a Master’s in Finance.

Kelvinder joined Moxico in July 2025 and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in November 2025.

Narjess Naouar
General Counsel and Company Secretary

Narjess has 15 years of experience as in-house legal counsel in the mining industry. Between March 2020 and January 2022, Narjess was General Counsel of Golden Star Resources until its takeover by Chifeng Jilong Gold Mining Company. Prior to Golden Star, she held roles establishing and managing the legal function of several publicly listed mineral exploration and development companies with assets and operations across the African continent, including Mano River Resources, Afferro Mining, Aureus Mining and GB Minerals. Narjess is a dual qualified English and French corporate lawyer. 

Narjess joined Moxico as General Counsel and Company Secretary in May 2022. 

Deon Garbers
Head of Development

Deon Garbers has 30 years of experience in the mining industry in operations, operations improvement, project management and business development areas. His fields of expertise are in improvement of greenfield projects and brownfield operations, mergers and acquisitions and start-up of old/new mining operations for mining companies and private equity funds. Deon’s previous roles include consulting for Trafigura’s mining business development in Africa, Chief Operating Officer of Kamoto Copper Company and Senior Vice President, Operations of Swakop Uranium, a subsidiary of Taurus Minerals Limited. He holds an MBA and a degree in Metallurgical Engineering.

Deon joined Moxico as Head of Development in June 2021.

Theo Silver
Managing Director, Zambia

Theo has over 20 years of experience in the mining industry in open pit drilling, open pit production, site safety, modelling and project management in Namibia, South Africa and Zambia. He was previously Country Director responsible for Namibian operations at Basil Read Mining Namibia Pty Ltd, Area Manager at MCC Group, Mine Manager at Golden Falls Mining and Site Manager at Fixtrade Drilling and Blasting.

Theo joined Moxico as Managing Director, Mimbula Minerals Limited in September 2018 and was appointed as Managing Director, Zambia, in November 2022.
