Developing Exceptional Value

Advancing towards Copper Production in the World Class Copperbelt

Moxico Resources PLC has partnered with active Zambian stakeholders to identify, secure and add value to under-valued mineral assets in one of the best mining jurisdictions in Africa which includes part of the World Class Central African Copperbelt.

The Central African Copperbelt is the largest and highest grade sediment-hosted copper district on earth. It has historically produced 50 million tonnes of copper metal and contains a further 150 million tonnes in known resources. It remains one of the most prospective and high grade copper producing regions anywhere in the world.

Currently producing world class mines in the Copperbelt include Sentinel, Lumwana, Konkola, Kolwezi, KOV, Kinsevere, Tenke Fungurime, Mufulira, Mopani and Chambishi, together producing over 1.5 million tonnes copper metal per year.

Zambia is a fast developing country in south-central Africa which is the 8th largest copper producer in the world and the 2nd largest in Africa, behind DRC. In recent years the Zambian Government has taken significant steps to stabilize the economy and improve the ease of doing business by creating a positive investment climate which is particularly favourable to the exploration and development of mineral resources. In doing so it has reversed certain steps that were seen to damage investor confidence in the sector.

Moxico is currently developing the low capital intensity Mimbula Project (MR-85%) into a low cost cathode copper producer. Mimbula has a JORC Resource and a Large Scale Mining license valid for 25 years.

Further upside provided by leading land position with highly prospective copper and zinc exploration opportunities with the Kaoma and Excelsior projects.
